Hours

The museum galleries are open to the public Wednesday-Sunday, 10-4, with the following exceptions:

  • CLOSED on January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving Day, and December 25
  • CLOSED for occasional exhibition changeovers and private events (see below)
  • OPEN on the following Monday holidays: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Special Closures

  • CLOSED for a private event on Saturday, September 28, 2024
  • CLOSED to install new exhibitions October 20-25, 2024

Admission is free, courtesy of M&T Bank. Welcome!

Accessibility

BMAC is wheelchair-accessible, and a guest wheelchair is available. Upon request and with advance notice, we will be glad to provide an ASL interpreter. For accessibility questions and requests, please contact Sarah Weiler at office@brattleboromuseum.org or 802-257-0124 x101.

Covid-19 Policy

When the Center for Disease Control’s Covid-19 County Check, which is updated weekly, shows Windham County, Vermont, as GREEN (LOW)  or YELLOW (MEDIUM), masking will be optional during regular museum hours. When the map is RED (HIGH), masks are required.

If you are experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness, please do not visit the museum until you are feeling better. If you do, you may be asked to leave.

Getting Here & Parking

BMAC is located in Brattleboro’s historic Union Station at the foot of Main Street in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont.

From I-91, take Exit 1 in Vermont, then turn north onto Route 5 (Canal Street). Follow Canal Street about 1.3 miles until it meets the lower end of Main Street at a five-way intersection. BMAC is on the right at the junction of Routes 119 and 142.

Parking is available in front of the Museum and next door in the 28 Vernon Street parking lot.
