Next up in BMAC’s “Hidden in the Hills” series of excursions to noteworthy private or off-the-beaten-track art venues is a visit to the Marlboro, Vermont, home of Jacob and Meg Smith.
Formerly the home and studio of ceramic artist Malcolm Wright and his wife Marjorie, Turnpike Road features several installations, including a sunken garden, by master dry stonewaller Dan Snow, set within a holistic, site-responsive landscape design by Emily Drury of Princess Pine LLC.
The Smiths, Snow, and Drury, joined by architect Jason Van Nest and builder Jason MacArthur, will offer a tour of the property, where guests will have an opportunity to view artwork by Wolf Kahn, Petria Mitchell, Homer Johnson, and Natalie Blake, among others, as well as furniture by David Holzapfel and Mark Littlehales, ironwork by Eric Dennis, pottery by Wright, and other artful delights.
Rain date: Sunday, June 29, 2-4 p.m.
