BMAC curator emerita Mara Williams moderates a conversation with exhibiting artist Jessica Straus (Stemming the Tide) and Rutgers University postdoctoral researcher Brendan Reid. Straus creates multifaceted artwork that is both a warning and a call to action around the health of our oceans and the animals that live there. Reid studies interactions among gene flow, population dynamics, environment, and species traits, mainly in aquatic vertebrates. Their work intersects in their mutual interest in the Atlantic cod population.

Jessica Straus: Stemming the Tide is supported in part by the Wolf Kahn & Emily Mason Exhibition Fund.
