Curator Tour: Katherine Gass Stowe

April 18, Saturday, 1 p.m.

UPDATE 3/19/20: This event has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Katherine Gass Stowe leads a tour of “Steven Kinder: 552,830” and “Alison Wright: Grit and Grace, Women at Work,” two exhibits she curated that are currently on view at BMAC.

Stowe is an art curator and the founder and chief curator of James Company Contemporary Art Projects. She is the contracted curator for Bank of America in the New York metropolitan region and has held posts at The Whitney Museum and the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. She received her M.A. in the History of American Art Advocacy from The Gallatin School, New York University.

“It is an honor to curate these two exhibits for BMAC,” Stowe said. “While each exhibition is unique and focuses on different and sometimes difficult issues, they are connected by the genre of portraiture and reveal how powerful art is in unifying us and conveying the indomitable spirit of those who are so often underrepresented, overlooked, and underestimated in society.”
