Workshop: Acrylic Paint Techniques

April 17, Tuesday, 10-3

Update: As of 3/28/18 this workshop is fully subscribed, and we are no longer accepting registrations. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please call 802-257-0124, ext. 101.

Led by Golden Certified Working Artist Adra Arch, this workshop will provide art teachers with fresh new insights to spark creative expression.

In the morning, participants will learn how acrylics can be used as grounds for other media, such as watercolor or colored pencil; get key information on color mixing, blending, and controlling drying time; and see how gels can be used to modify paint properties or create unique textural surfaces. After a break for lunch, participants will create unique prints with new slow-drying Golden OPEN acrylics, experimenting with stencils and brushes, and working on paper or fabric to create exciting textural effects.

All participants will receive a certificate for 4 PDPs, plus free Golden product samples and a literature packet, including hand-painted color charts.

Golden Certified Working Artist Adria Arch is trained to demonstrate how to use Golden products. Her work is included in the collections of the Boston Public Library, the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, and Fidelity Corporation, among others.

ADMISSION:
$30, includes product samples and literature ($20 for Vermont Art Teachers Association members)
