New England Biennial 2012 is a juried exhibition organized by BMAC that showcases established, mid-career, and emerging artists working in all media. Selection

All submissions will be reviewed by juror Stephen Haller (Stephen Haller Gallery, NYC), who will select finalists for further consideration. Finalists will be contacted by July 20, 2012 to arrange a studio visit by BMAC Chief Curator Mara Williams. The final selection of artists and artwork to be included in the New England Biennial 2012 will be made by Williams after studio visits have taken place. Note: A studio visit does not guarantee that a finalist’s work will be selected for inclusion.

Juror

Stephen Haller is the owner and director of the Stephen Haller Gallery in New York City.

Exhibition, Installation, and De-installation

New England Biennial 2012 exhibition dates: November 2, 2012 – February 10, 2013.

Artists must deliver or ship their work to BMAC the week of October 29, 2012. Two-dimensional work must be framed in advance or otherwise made ready for simple installation. Artists whose work involves complex installation will be expected to facilitate the installation process in person. Specialized projection or other technical equipment may need to be supplied by the artist.

After the exhibition closes, artists must retrieve or arrange for shipment of their work from BMAC, assisting with complex de-installation as necessary.

All costs associated with delivery, pickup, or shipment of artwork to/from BMAC, as well as any costs associated with the purchase, rental, or use of specialized equipment not available at BMAC, must be borne by the artist.

All artwork will be fully insured by BMAC while it is in BMAC’s care.
