Fractured, Not Broken
Fractured, Not Broken is a collaborative quilt project organized by Interaction: Youth Services and Restorative Justice connecting people inside and outside prison walls. The quilt was designed, pieced, and painted by participants in a quilting workshop at Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield, Vermont, during the fall and winter of 2025-26. This past spring and summer, members of the Brattleboro community were invited to add their own stitches, transforming the quilt into a shared work of art and a catalyst for dialogue across prison walls.
Presented in collaboration with Interaction: Youth Services and Restorative Justice and the Vermont Prison Research and Innovation Network, with funding from the Vermont Arts Council
