B. Lynch: Pull Back the Curtain

This multimedia installation juxtaposes “The Reds,” wealthy and powerful figures from the 18th century, and “The Grays,” hard-working characters with early 20th-century technology. Through gouache paintings, lino block prints, digitally constructed images, video, and architectural dioramas, Lynch introduces viewers to a theatrical invented world.
“My time-bending universe explores the corrosive effect of income disparity on our society and democracy,” Lynch said. “As the rich get richer, the less fortunate seem caught in a cycle of despair.”
