International Slow Art Day

April 6, Saturday, 2 p.m.

Slow Art Day is a global event with a simple mission: help more people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. The initiative encourages viewers to slow down and take a long look at a handful of works of art. BMAC is one of 94 (and counting!) 2019 Slow Art Day venues around the world, from Antwerp to New Zealand. Since the launch of Slow Art Day in 2010, over 1,200 individual events have taken place on all seven continents, including Antarctica.

Join us to spend five or 10 minutes each with a few works of art. At the end of the event, Education Curator Linda Whelihan will lead a gallery conversation about the experience.

ADMISSION: Free with regular museum admission
