Steve Gerberich: Best of “Springs, Sprockets & Pulleys”
We are delighted to bring to Brattleboro the most recent installation by pack-rat extraordinaire, artist, and inventor Steve Gerberich. Influenced by Duchamp, Calder, and Rauschenberg, among many others, Gerberich transforms everyday objects into elaborate blinking, whirling, humming, buzzing sculptures.
Gerberich’s whimsical take on popular culture engages viewers on multiple levels. Describing his art as “analog work for the digital age,” Gerberich forces us to step back from our high-tech world and let the mechanized motions of each of his creations carry us on a tour of our own memories—as filtered through his imagination.
Welcome to the weird, wacky, wonderful world of Steve Gerberich. Enter, and embrace your inner child.
