THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED.

For those of you who can’t get tickets to the concert at the Latchis Theatre on February 4, or don’t go out at night, or just can’t get enough of the Dartmouth Aires, or like the idea of hearing the group perform in an intimate setting surrounded by cool artwork, we are happy to announce that the Aires have agreed to do an additional show in Brattleboro on Sunday, February 5 at 8:30 a.m.

Yes, 8:30 a.m. The songsters need to hit the road at 10, so we’ll serve light breakfast and coffee, the stars of NBC’s The Sing Off will do their thing, and there may even be some time for Q&A with the boys before they head off to their next gig.

Tickets are $25. Breakfast included. Space is limited. Call 802-257-0124, ext. 101.

More Than a Month is a feature documentary film that follows Shukree Hassan Tilghman, a 29-year old African-American filmmaker, on a cross-country campaign to end Black History Month. Through this tongue-in-cheek journey, the film investigates what the treatment of history tells us about race and equality in a “post-racial” America. Combining cinema verité shooting, first person narration, expert and man-on-the-street interviews, archival materials, and graphics, More Than a Month creates a cinematic journey in the vein of documentaries like Roger and Me, Sherman’s March, or Blue Vinyl.

Independent Lens screenings are presented at BMAC the second Thursday of each month, in collaboration with BCTV and Vermont Public Television, and supported in part by the Vermont Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Admission: Free
