Annual Benefit Concert, July 3 in Grafton, Vermont
On the evening of July 3, year after year, thousands gather to celebrate the eve of Independence Day at Grafton Ponds, Grafton, Vermont, listening to the Vermont Symphony Orchestra while sitting under the stars, enjoying the evening with food, friends and family. The concert benefits the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center and is underwritten by the Windham Foundation; Foard Panel sponsors the fireworks.Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7:30. As dusk falls at around 9:00, the fireworks begin behind the orchestra tent. There is one intermission. Blankets, lawnchairs, and picnics welcome. Only blankets in the front section. Food, beverages and novelties available for purchase. No pets. No sparklers.
Tickets: $25 for adults, $10 for children ages 4-14, free for children 3 and under. 2008 prices will be posted in May.
