Ken Schneck: Coming Out

February 7, Thursday, 7:30 p.m.

In connection with artist Bénédicte Lassalle’s installation, The Coming Out Project, currently on view at BMAC as part of the exhibit New England Biennial 2012, Ken Schneck and a panel of guests relay their personal histories and share their own coming-out stories.

Ken Schneck, PhD, is the dean of students at Marlboro College where he teaches courses in education. He is also the producer and host of This Show is So Gay, a nationally syndicated radio show/podcast focused on people using their voices in a unique way to create dialogue around LGBTQ topics. A gay Jew, he received his doctorate from a Jesuit college in NYC, writing a dissertation entitled That’s so gay: Deconstructing the word ‘gay’ in the daily parlance of high school students. He has a regular column in the Huffington Post and is an elected member of the Brattleboro Selectboard.

Admission: $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for students, free for BMAC members and children under 6.
