LEGO fans of all ages are invited to take part in BMAC’s Second Annual LEGO Contest.
Design and build an original LEGO structure according to the contest guidelines below, or simply come view the contest entries on display at BMAC November 13-16. Prizes for artistry, originality, and architectural design will be awarded in six age groups at an Awards Ceremony on November 13 at 5:30 p.m.
Admission to the November 13 Awards Ceremony is $3 for adults and teens, $2 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Admission to the museum while LEGO entries are on display is $6 adults, $4 seniors, $3 students, free for BMAC members and children 5 and under.
Every contestant will receive four complimentary admission passes to BMAC, which may be used at any time, including during the Awards Ceremony and LEGO Display.

Entries must be picked up from BMAC
Construction
- Entries must consist entirely of LEGO, Duplo, Megablocks, or other LEGO-compatible plastic bricks and related pieces.
- Entries must be original creations, not based on a LEGO-designed kit or instructions found online, in a magazine, etc.
- Entries must fit on a table or pedestal within a base area no larger than 24 x 24 inches. Entries may be up to six feet tall.
- Gluing or otherwise affixing pieces to one another is permitted.
Categories
- Every entry will be judged, in one of the following six categories: Preschool, Grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, Adult.
- Every entry must be accompanied by an Entry Form. Team entries will be judged in the category of the oldest member of the team. Members of teams may also submit their own individual entries, but no one may submit more than one individual entry or be a member of more than two teams.
Prizes
- Judging will take place prior to the November 13 Awards Ceremony. Prizes and judges to be announced.
- All contestants will receive four complimentary admission passes to BMAC and a certificate of participation.
- Prizes for the “Most Artistic” and “Most Original” creations will be awarded in each of the six categories above. In addition, single prizes will be awarded for “Best Architectural Design” and “Best in Show.” Team entries compete for a single prize. Judges may choose to recognize runners-up and honorable mention in any category.
