Faces in and of Time: Portraiture from Akhenatan to Andy Warhol

Art historian and Marlboro College Dean of Faculty Felicity Ratte addresses issues in the history of portraiture, through a series of case studies beginning with that of the Egyptian Pharoah Akhenatan and moving chronologically to the present. Among the issues addressed will be the role of memory, identity, history, and historiography in the creation, critique, and use of portraiture.
