Every Wednesday afternoon in January, Brattleboro Museum & Art Center will present book readings for children, ages 5-9. Kids and their adult caregivers are invited to drop by the museum at 3:30 p.m. to enjoy healthy snacks provided by the Brattleboro Food Co-Op, to browse in the museum’s galleries and gift shop, or to work on a portrait in the Activity Gallery. Around 4 p.m., everyone will pull up a stool or a patch of carpet for about 45 minutes of reading by BMAC staff from several beautifully illustrated children’s books in the museum’s collection. Stop by and brighten up those dark winter afternoons
