Petria Mitchell creates rich, somewhat abstracted New England landscapes with strong yet wispy brushstrokes, diffused lighting, and subtly contrasting, brilliant colors. Her compositions seem to stretch for miles across fields, water, and high hills, conferring a wonderful rhythm between foreground, middle, and background.  Mitchell’s paintings are in private and public collections all over the U.S. and overseas and have been featured in Vermont Life Magazine, The New York Times, Art New England, and other prestigious publications.

Paul Stone’s paintings capture the vital essence of the New England landscape and vernacular architecture. However, the way in which he handles these subjects is far from traditional. Stone employs vibrant colors that add brilliance to lights and darks. Old farm houses at sunset are not represented plainly with his brush; every color is amplified to expose the spirit and feeling of his subject.  Stone has been painting for over 40 years in oil and watercolor. His work is in private and corporate collections across New England. Stone lives in Vermont with his wife and enjoys sailing, all of which is reflected in his painting.
