Finding Meaning Through Complexity

In nature and in art the repetition of simple pattern often organizes complex structures. Each artist in this exhibit explores patterned visual expression—webs of lines, repetition of marks, and woven grids—creating complex and convoluted networks. Installation artist Elizabeth Duffy, painters Louise Hamlin and Esme Thompson, and sculptor Duncan Johnson show live and work in Vermont’s upper valley and show their work nationally.
