Robert Cooley, Northfield Mount Hermon School faculty member, presents a picture of one of the most creative periods of American cultural history. Drawing from literature, music, and the visual arts, Cooley helps us understand Jacob Lawrence’s relationship to the Harlem Renaissance, and asks “When will history recognize many of the other extraordinary talents of the period?” Lawrence’s screenprints are currently on view in the exhibit The Life of Toussaint L’Ouverture. Admission: Regular Museum admission applies: $4 adults; $3 seniors; $2 students; FREE to BMAC members
